Audi added the A5 Coupe to its lineup back in 2007 as a direct response to models like BMW 3 Series Coupe. Two years later, the lineup was further expanded with the addition of a convertible version. The only update the A5 received was back in 2011, when Audi offered a revised exterior and interior look.
For the 2014 model year, the A5 remains basically unchanged and American customers can choose between the usual Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. For the 2014 model year, the Premium Plus and Prestige models will be offered with an S-line competition package. Additionally, all the A5 models get an optional Black Optic package and new 19-inch Titanium Rotor wheels.
Also, for the 2014 model year, the only engine offered on the U.S. market - the 2.0 TFSI engine - was tricked to deliver extra power. To help it better compete with the C-class and 4 Series
